OK pale ale. Lightly hopped, light bready malts, balanced, fairly clean. The cascade hops seem to dominate, but there’s a hint of citra.

Dude this is good. It is entirely better than can Guinness. Sweet roast and chocolate aroma and flavors. Nice full palate with semi-dry finish. Nice long lingering roastiness. Pretty noticeable wack of hops at the end, almost too much but makes it fun.

Peachy-amber and hazy, with a nice effervescence. Looks quite attractive in a snifter. Rich lacto acidity, lots of barrel, long finish. The complexity isn’t bad either. I like this one.

Pale and a bit hazy. Aroma is a bit of coriander, light plastic, malts a bit doughy, and with a mellow spicy finish.

Amber, bright hoppy aroma, light biscuity malts and a dash of woody, slightly grapefruity hop.

Somewhere between a 2 and 4oz pour at SAVOR 2015’s Saturday night session. Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma was some light bready mals, some bread notes. Light tart fruits.

Bottle from NOLA. Pours mostly clear, pinkish pale golden. Small fizzy white head, dissipates quickly leaving a soda-like fizziness behind. Aroma is Bretty, barnyard and hayfield, some tart cherry, lemon and oak aromas as well. Flavor is quite tart, aggressively tart, kind of a mineral water thing as well, dry, not much bitterness, light plus funk. Light body, high carbonation, fizzy and soda-like. Tending more to the vinegar side of the house.

Tap. Pours dark black, small team head, a bit of lacing. Aroma is quite rummy, chocolate, kind of desert like, vanilla. Flavor is overtly rum, some chocolate and vanilla. Medium sweet, light bitter. Lightish body. The concept is good, but the base beer needs more presence to not get overpowered by the barrel.

Tap. Crystal clear orange, small off white head, some lacing. Aroma is light grapefruit, pine. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, pine and citrus. No bitter aftertaste. Lightish body. Kind of a classic representation, but well executed.
