Pours slightly hazy pale straw with airy white head. Weird aroma of a burnt toner cartridge, with notes of citrus and yeast. Sourish, grainy flavour, with touches of hops and fennel. Sourish aftertaste with bitter hints. Anomalous, but that is so typical of this style.

5 oz sample draft at Colorado Plus in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The pour is a hazed yellow golden with a minimal white head. The aroma is lime citrus along with soft resin bitterness. The taste is bright lemon lime citrus upfront, followed by a weird yeast and then bitter resin lingering on the finish. Taste is not all that clean. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and the lingering off yeast flavor.

Tap at the brewery - hazy dark ruby - despite the dark color, it tastes more like a "regular" double ipa - medium sweet - lots of earthy citrus, pine and an almost minty hop note - high acidity, but not abrasive - acidity and bitterness are tempered by a light caramel sweetness on the tail end - a touch of toasty malt on the tail end separates this from a regular iipa - if you were in the mood for a hoppy strong ale, you could do a lot worse.

Tap at the brewery - hazy gold pour - nose is sweet and bursting with citrus, like grapefruit covered in sugar - quite a bit of pine as well - oily texture - slightly thin for the abv, but the oily character adds some heft - fairly sweet, but the sweetness is clean and the abundant citrus, pine, and peppery notes of the hops do a fair job of balancing this - if you’re into this type of beer, I can see you loving it.

Ooo, they had a strong showing with the first few I had, but this one is a mess - thin and watery for the style and abv - quite a bit of vegetal notes - some chemical and ethanol like flavors - none of the peaty or smoky character the style needs - lots of alcohol flavor in the finish - not good.

Tap at the brewery - their rye stout with vanilla added, so not much different but for the soft, sweet vanilla that cuts the spicy rye and acidity more than in the original - covers the alcohol more as well - pleasant vanilla finish - quite nice, really.

Tap at the brewery - medium bodied stout - creamy on the palate - sweet chocolate and vanilla up front, followed by spicy rye and earthy, peppery american hops - a bit of alcohol present in the finish, along with some anise and bitter chocolate - decent brew.

Tap at the brewery - a rather clean and crisp pale ale - crackery malts, light mineral hardness/dryness, moderate earthy hops - nice and frothy on the palate - a little yeasty in the finish, but otherwise a simple, clean, easy to enjoy pale.
