Description
During August 2006 Jarrow BrewPub set up a second brewpub, using a 12½BBL plant. This was opened at The Maltings Brewery Tap & Westoe Brewhouse, 9 Claypath Lane, South Shields NE33 4PG. Brewing ceased at The Maltings when the brewery relocated to its new location in Summer 2014. The brewery closed in Summer 2015.

Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2011. Pours a pale golden color with a white head. Has a fruity weak hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus finish.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Clear golden colour, white head. Nose is light malted, bit of fruits, slight vegetables. Flavour is light malted, fruits, bit of citrus. Slightly bitter finish. Well drinkable.

One-third pint, cask, Lister Bar, GBBF’11. Straight malt-fruity aroma. Toasted malts and grassy hops in flavour leading to a gentle bitter ending making this one a decent British bitter (London, 04.08.2011).

Cask, one-third pint from the Lister Bar, GBBF ’11. Clear, amber-gold body. Dotted spots on the glassware. Floral fruity nose. Lemony taste profile added by distant caramel malts. Rather thin on the swallow, but with refreshing drinkability (London, 04.08.2011).

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, marzipan, fruity, ripped apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110804]

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, pale malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity, pineapple. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration.
