Description
Kompania Piwowarska operates three breweries with rich heritage: Tyskie Browary Książęce (established in 1629), the Dojlidy Brewery in Bialystok (1768) and Lech Browary Wielkopolski in Poznan (1895). These breweries provide Polish people with their favourite beers, including Żubr, Tyskie, Lech, Dębowe, Redd’s and the Książęce specialty collection. Our proven beer recipes, natural ingredients, pristinely clean breweries and, above all, superbly skilled and experienced brewers, allow us to brew beers that are highly valued in Poland and abroad.

Aroma: a bit of bread, cigarettes and unfortunately a strong vomit scent. Old hops maybe? A lot of alcohol in aroma, hooch-like. Really repellent. Appearance: very clear, small head, some lacing. Golden color. Taste: quite bitter, but not at the level I imagined it’ll be. Tiny little bit sweet, but it’s almost not there. Palate: Light body, thin and dusty texture which is not very nice, low carbonated. The bitter finish is too long in my opinion. Not too drinkable. The aroma is disgusting. The only advantage is quite nice appearance.

Can, 0.50l, courtesy of Maurizio. Clear pale amber color with medium frothy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, bread, honey and grassy hops. Taste starts with moderate sweet bready malt, follows dry grassy with medium bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. A bit above average Polish lager...

Can. Light pink with fluffy white head with slight pink hue. Sweet malts, coocked raspberries, cherries, vegetables. Quite sweet but has a light chimical and hoppy bitterness as well. It’s quite yucky but not because it’s too sweet or chemical, but more because the fruits are more jam-like and it really doesn’t work together with the beer.

Typical eastern European strong lager, with unstable, loose head and deep golden colour. Taste begins neutral, then lightly malty, bit sweetish, finishing in a mildly bitterish, grassy hoppiness. The alcohol remains relatively well hidden, at least in comparison with many other examples of this - to my opinion - infernal lager style.
