Growler from City Growler. Dark copper, almost dubbel-esque, color, with practically no head. The aroma is heavy caramel, orange peels, basil, and sourdough. Mild, malty sweetness, and a surprisingly forward hop bitterness. Heavy body, astringent, hard, and dry. Overall, the aroma is complex, but the flavor is unpleasantly bitter. The mouthfeel is much too heavy and abrasive.

Growler from Crafty Draught. Nice, clear, gold color with a medium, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma is lots of grass, and good, juicy, citrus hops. Nice, light malt profile. The flavor is sweet, and the bitterness is aggressive, but pleasant. Relatively light body, very sticky, and astringent. Overall, this one has a good aroma and is nicely hopped.

Growler from Ale Yeah! Copper color, with a medium, beige head. Aroma of resin, strong pine and some hard cheese. Very bitter flavor, with very little malt backbone. Medium to heavy body, very sticky, and very astringent. Overall, this is an overly abrasive beer. Very strong hops, but lacking balance and subtlety.

Growler from the North River Tavern. Nice gold color, with a medium, bubbly, off-white head. Strong hop aromas of spruce, honeysuckle, and light peat. Nice backbone of caramel, hay, and some musty notes. Medium body, very astringent and chalky. Relatively flat carbonation, and a long, sticky aftertaste. This is a very delicious IPA, very aggressively hopped, and well balanced. Very nice.

Bomber from Harry’s Farmer’s Market, Alpharetta. Pours a dark amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of canned fruit cocktail (without the tinny note) and caramel malts. The taste is caramel malts and a faint floral hop finish. Medium bodied. Fairly bland, but balanced enough and fairly drinkable.
