Building on the foundations we helped to lay, a fresh approach saw the business expanding and growing. With fantastic local support, our beers were regular features on bars all over the Dales and further afield. Five years continued refinement of our core range and with sales ever increasing; our beloved Bellerby barn was bursting at the seams. We had to find pastures new.
A new home was found in Leyburn, a blank canvas, giving us the opportunity to create our perfect brewery. A state of the art, bespoke 12 brl brewplant was installed in April 2018 and we’ve been making Wensleydale’s finest here ever since.

Half of gravity cask at the Hitchin Beer Festival. A hazy look in the glass with a real fruitiness on the palate. A bit like summer, apart from the lashing rain on the marquee roof.

On this day in 1987 West German Mathias Rust managed to evade the consequences of several alarms when he flew into Soviet Air Space, eventually landing his light air craft in Moscow's Red Square. As clear blonde as it gets, easy hoppy character to go with it. Session material.

Deadication beer to an alternative Papal figure. Maybe not an anti-hero, but certainly the Anti-Pope in Avignon, Benedict XIII died on this day in 1423. Clear blonde ale with a creamy head, an afterthought after the beer festival in the town as it's a new real ale venue for me, but happily this is a very easy session pale with a hopped character.
