Spotty beige head on a hazy amber coloured body. Malt & resinous aroma. Medium bodied, sharp & limp on the back. Malt, wet cardboard, grain & crackers tastes with a bitter finish. Poor.

Got this big pounder can from whole foods in bedford NH. I found out the ABV on this finder bullshit can vary anywhere from 6.5% to 8% depending on the batch. My can currently says its 7%. It has a big foamy head, its hazy and off yellow. The flavor of this is green nasty nellie grapefruit rind and its a little sharp as far as astringency goes, it almost borders on the concerns of immature brewer, but not quite. I think of shipyard generally as a macro brewer who always wants to get on the bandwagon and this stuff does a pretty good job of riding the double impy IPA train. Although its really an IPA that has some impy IPA attributes, its OK by me to classify this as a imperial or double if need be. Yes, it has a big rude pine thick tar aftertaste that is hard to ignore. But, depending on your ABV experience, it also may or may not have the ABV content to carry it into the euphoria of the alky content needed to make it a impy double. There you have it, another one of gahzillion IPA out there. Everybody makes them, and they all practically taste the same.

# 2812; 3/2022. As Shipyard American IPA, brewed and bottled in the UK by Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Co. Ltd. Wolverhampton. Malty, herbal, earthy and fruity aroma. Brilliant gold body; white head. Earthy, herbal, zesty. More english than american IPA, I guess. 0,5 l, bottle, supermarket, Lincoln (Lincolnshire, England).

$2.06 bottle, TWSP. Clear gold with a tiny white head. Nos is artificial as hell, but pleasant: sweet melons, watermelon mostly, I suppose. Flavor is green melon, artificial flavors, not sweet, but not real. Bready malt is the only thing natural about this. That said, it's drinkable.
