bottle - I don’t have too much to say about this ale. The light malt aroma is lacking. The flavor is okay with some decent hops in there. It’s a little thin, but not bad. It’s certainly better than some blonde ales I’ve had that tended to be very watery and weak. It never gets past just being okay though.

Nose is sweet and hoppy with some caramel malts; Light amber color with a small off-white head; flavor of hops, caramel malts, and a nice hop finish. There is a tiny diacetyl hint in the background, but not enough to affect the flavor.

On tap @ Mellow Mushroom. Black color with solid tan head that will not go away. Rich roasted chocolate malt and coffee aroma. Inviting. Flavor is toffee, coffee, chocolate and a bit of black patent malts. The finish is a nice coffee and chocolate flavor that is not too dry at all.

Nose of grain and banana esters with a tiny citrus note, fairly standard wheat aroma. Deep gold with a small white head; flavor of wheat, malt and bananas, with a little hops in the finish. Good summer wheat, nice fruitiness without being too sweet.

Aroma is very syrupy with a bit of a sour cherry-like fruitiness in the background. Flavor is OK, but could be a little stronger and more developed in my opinion. There is a caramel malt sweetness that provides a nice backbone and then gives way to a hops dominated bitterness that is pleasant and not quite as biting as some of the more outrageous ESB’s out there. It almost slides into that grapefruit/pine hopping of an IPA.

Bottle. Sweet aroma, but just a little plain smelling to me. Flavor is a little fruity, with citrus, but a little weak.

Color is a slightly orange, light amber... head is moderate, with some sticking to side of glass. Aromas are grainy and undeveloped-slightly sweet. Flavor is OK, but just disappears pretty quickly.
