12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, opened 10/27/14. Pours a clear dark copper with a large foamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of bourbon, butterscotch, wood, caramel, toasted malt. The taste is bourbon, caramel, apple, wood, vanilla. Thin bodied. Decent.

Fudge and oats with subdued bourbon accents. Mahogany, thick tan head, fair retention no lacing. Bourbon is more assertive on the front of the palate, but gives way to roasted malt notes and coffee. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bourbon, coconut, chocolate syrup and sweet vanilla. The flavor was bitter and roasty with notes of coconut, vanilla, bourbon and marshmallow. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied.The alcohol was well contained. Tasty.
