~12 oz draft at the St. Matthews BBC location in Louisville, Kentucky. Style on this was listed as β€œMalt”, didn’t realize that was Malt Liquor until the next day when I looked it up. The pour is a light haze copper golden with not much of a white head. The aroma is sweet honey malt, and not much else. The taste is grain, sweet malt, some off fusel yeast esters and a hot finish. The palate is medium to light bodied with low carbonation and the lingering yeast flavor. Not really my kind of beer.

Half pint draft at The Crescent Hill Craft House in Louisville, Kentucky. The pour is a lightly hazed brown copper golden with not much of a head. The aroma is faint, caramel cocoa malt present along with some iced tea. The taste is the nutty caramel malt upfront, along with some grass hop character towards the finish. The crystal malt iced tea shows up in the finish as the beer warms, and it comes across as a bit unclean. The palate is light bodied with soft carbonation and the mildly dirty finish. Just OK, though always happy to see a Mild on offer.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Clear orange color with a medium white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Citrus, hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of pungent hops, citrus and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
