500ml bottle. Almost black colour with dark ruby glimmer and huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Smoky and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of birch ashes, ham, some caramel. Taste is papery, ashy, smoky, subtle hints of roasty dark and chocolate malt, a caramel touch, a touch of smoked ham, birch ashes; minimally watery passages. Very nice smoky flavours in the nose, sadly preserved only in a diluted mode in taste.

Keg at Jabeerwocky, 13/07/19. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is tangy citric peel, light yeast esters, stale bread, herbs. Taste comprises light orange, yeast esters, faint soap, lemon drizzle, damp straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable saison.

Bottle on the EP07 from Toruń to Warsaw, 13/07/19. Black with a tan cap that soon fades. Nose is parted malts, dark fruits, light smoke, tar, treacle toffee. Taste comprises Islay barrel, medicinal tones, dark malts, peat, smoke, dried fruits, liquorice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, balanced warming alcohol in the close. Decent Islay affair.

Bottle from Piwnica, Wroclaw. Hazy dark golden/orange with a medium white head. Mild aroma of hops, fruit and some hints of brett. The same in the taste. The bitterness was on the light side.
