22oz bomber, courtesy of riversideAK (who ROCKS! and knows it) pours with a murky brackish deep copper brown colored body that supports a thin lasting tan head of foam. The aroma offers up soft blended and blunted pine hops and some citrus melded into thick sweet malts and molasses and aged ripe caramel drizzled cherries. Toward the end of the draw it gets a tad earthy as the soft thin bourbon notes are noticed. The taste begins smooth and slick with soft sweet malts and molasses heading into a modest degree of muted and blunted with age pine and sort of citrus hoppiness. It gets a bit boozy to midway as molasses soaked oak, faint vanilla and bourbon join in with the rest of the flavors. This has aged gracefully. Solid sipper barleywine. Love it.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours light gold with a foamy white head. It’s a bit bready, but more than that it’s more than grassy - sort of new mown hay? Near med body. It is pretty balanced. Can’t figure which came first - malt or hop. It is a bit sweetly bready, but it’s also exotic grassy/spicy. Not super strong flavors, but good ones. Good pils.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours dark brown with a slight beige/tan head. Aroma is definitely bourbon. Also dark treacle, and maybe some anise. Full bodied. Creamy. Flavor: A mild bit of heat, dark treacle, arguably chocolate, a hint medicinal. I will not contend this is the best BB aged beer ever. However, it is amazingly tasty. Not really complex. Even tho darkish fruits seem to be coming out with time. It’s just extremely delicious in a (compared to many) simple fashion. Clarence chose a butt of malmsey. Had he known, he might have chosen a barrel of this. Oh so highly recommended.

On tap at OBF. Pours a clear orange yellow color with a medium white head. A big funky fruity nose, almost tropical. The flavor is similar with big fruity flavors, some funky fruit, a bit of mellow soft malts. Easygoing.

22oz bottle pours out dark brown topped with a long lasting tan head. Nose is bam bourbon barrel vanilla sweetness caramel toffee and did I mention bourbon barrel. Taste is more of the bourbon vanilla oak some chocolate along with lots of caramel and toffee sweetness. I like this one the nose is great and taste is a little less on the hot bourbon.
