Description
Birbant is one of the pioneers of Polish craft brewing - bold, independent, and driven by creativity. We don’t follow the noise - we brew what truly matters.
Birbant (pronounced ‘beer-bunt’; Polish for ‘bon vivant’) contract brewery was established in 2013 by Jarek and Krzysiek (a.k.a. Kuli), two brewers and beer enthusiasts. Jarek is a professional brewer, who’s worked with several different breweries, while Kuli started brewing at home in 2003 and in the ten years before Birbant many of his home batches earned him awards at homebrew competitions. In their own words: “We have worked together on new recipes for a few years now. Our goal is to make flavorful and exceptionally aromatic beers we would like to drink ourselves.”

Roses, citruses, grapefruit in aroma. It's bitter but watery too. Nothing special, but tasty.

Canned@hermod. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is nectary, some spruce, alcohol and mild wooden tones. Flavour is nectary, some alcohol, mild aloe vera tones. A bit alcohol to it, but not disturbingly much.

Nuty siarkowe w aromacie dominują, odechciało się pić, trzeba było zrobić sprawdzoną powtórkę.

330ml can. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Chocolately and slightly roasty, dark malty as well as mildly spicy aroma, notes of chocolate, cocoa, some treacle, dark caramel, coffee undertones, a touch of cinnamon, weak wafer overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, dark malty, notes of coffee, mocha, some caramel and cocoa, a touch of cinnamon; a minimally alcoholic touch in the finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, creamy carbonation. Nice coffee flavours, overall rather sweet and a bit monotonous - not top-shelf in that style.
