Amundsen Bryggeri is an Oslo-based brewery focused on producing craft beers of the highest quality for the non-conformists out there.
Our motto is Created by Craftsmen as we see we ourselves as modern day craftsmen; hand-crafting and producing ales, lagers and sours.
At Amundsen we not only believe in, but strive to innovate, be creative and create world class beers from only the finest ingredients we can lay our hands on. Our international team packs decades of combined experience and stand by every single product that leaves our doors. As Oslo´s largest brewery and one of Norways fastest growing breweries we have been following an organic growth from the starting days at our 5hl brew pub in 2011. Shortly after building our first production facility in 2013 with a modest 10HL system. With growing demand and space becoming tight we further expanding into a brand new 3500m2 42HL brewplant in 2016. Here we hope to stay and grow for many more years to come. Quality, consistency, Innovation and Passion is what drives us from day to day.

500ml bottle, N263, shared with visionthing and Finn at Cafe Sånn. Film-type layer, dotted spots on the glass, cloudy golden body. Mixed aroma of honey sweetness and fruits. Honeyed fruity flavours, hints of melon and peaches, slight yeasty fruitiness to the ending. Fine bodied. Pretty nice. An extra score for the funny bottle design (Tromsø 03.05.2016).

50cl bottle shared by Rune&Finn (thanks a lot!) at Café Sånn, Tromsø. Pours hazy orange with a small, white head. Very fruity aroma with lots of citrus and peaches, some yeasty notes and hints of malt. Moderate sweet with nice acidity and fruity flavours. Refreshing and surprisingly sessionable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Beerfoot Saison on 03 May 2016 at 15:08 - Score: 7

0.5l bottle from #N263. Oh, my this smells superb! As fresh and fruit sweet as they come! Filled with watermelon, cacti cucumber freshness, dragon fruit, honey melon, papaya, passion fruit and lychee. Oh, my, that's something. In the glass it's a mild cloudy golden looking one, not much of a head just a filmy little thing trying to go sidesticking but quite unsuccessful in it's attempt. Tastes more like I know Amundsen. Melon yeasty tones all the way. It's fruity an somewhat fresh. Quite on the sweeter side of the scale I suppose. Really fruity with again, watermelon and papaya with something that reminds me of paprika skin in the finish. Not much bubbles in this one, only a prickling soft sensation of some bubbles and in the mouth it's medium oily. Tastes quite alright and definitely different from anything I've had in a long while. Not all that much that reminds me of a saison, but I think I liked it. 08.04.2016

Small glass on tap at Crowbar & Bryggeri. Pale golden body, not crystal clear. Dissipating white head, clingy lacing. Oily hops and wheat on the nose. Wheat fruity taste, hints of peaches and pineapple. Drying ending. Satisfying standard stuff (Oslo 15.03.2016).

On tap at Crowbar, Oslo. Clear golden with a small, white head. Mild fruity and wheaty aroma with notes of unripe bananas, citrus and spices. Moderate sweet with a mild acididty and rather mild fruity flavours. Fairly tasty and refreshing, but has to put some imagination into it to get the lemon drop.

Nice mild and session able beer.
Hazed golden color with a fine white head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an ok soft carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Mild malty, tropical, mild pine and citric flavor.
[On tap at Amundsen in Oslo, Norway]
