On draught at the For Sale Pub in Budapest. The beer is a clear golden color with a medium and foamy ivory white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Bready malt and hops aroma. Light body with a bit of a metallic tinge, and flavors of sweet malt and spiced hops. The finish is mildly hoppy and lingers a bit. As with all the Lagers I have tried this week it is scraping the average level.

Deep dark coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, caramel and a bit of cardboard. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive roasted malts and pit fruit tastes come through with some metal and off-tastes noticeable. Aftertaste shows some caramel and toffee sweetness along with a light bitterness. Overall, a decent beer - definitely good to try here in Praha. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Tesco in Praha 1, Ceska Republica in March 2007.

Golden coloured body with a nice frothy white head and tons of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of metal, malt and nice crisp hops. Light-bodied; Strong assertive malt up front with a light and refined freshness tucked in with some very subtle sweetness. Aftertaste shows some metal, but otherwise - a nicely crafted beer. Good to try, I did find this pretty much everywhere in Praha, and obviously is pretty affordable. I sampled this particular entry on draught in Praha 1, Ceska Republica in March 2007.

Light to Medium-bodied; Effervescent feel up front fading to a metallic and malty finish tucked in with a bit of hops - but not much. Aftertaste shows some malt, but a farily muted taste. Overall, a decent beer - good to try here in Ceska, but not an amazing beer. I sampled this half litre bottle purchased at a small shop in Praha, Ceska Republica in March 2007.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Starw with a fast fading white head; grassy hop aroma; sweet grainy flavour with lots of leafy hops. Crisp and clean and more satisfying than most InBev offerings.

(Draught at Renen, Duved, Sweden, 20 March 2009) Golden yellow colour with foamy, white head. Malty, bready nose with notes of hay, grass and sourish hints of tropical fruit. Malty, bready taste with hay, grass and a moderate grassy bitterness in the finish. Slightly below medium body, balanced sweetness. Sadly, this beer keeps disappointing me. Ten to fifteen years ago it used to be quite a lovely Bohemian style pilsener, but it seems the Evil Empire InBev (as expected) has turned it into yet another middle-of-the-road-euro-lager. Give ’em a couple of years and they might relable it Stellapramen.

bottle, pours black, medium tan head. Coffee and roasted malt nose. Bakers chocolate, dark malt, and coffee flavors. Dark and dry. Low carb, silky smooth mouth. Enjoyable.

Bottle 33cl. @ home.Clear light to medium amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, roasted, molasses - caramel, nutty notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081220]

Can, max. 0.5%. The aroma has a little fresh hop and tea. Clear yellow colour. Very small white head. The flavour has a slightly rough bitterness with a hint of bread. Clean bitter finish, still a bit rough. Not an elegant beer, but drinkable for a non-alcoholic one.

Bottle, 3.2%. Bready and vinous aroma. Not past BB date. Clear golden colour. Unstable white head. The flavour is also bready, but not vinous. There is a hint of caramel, otherwise it is a bit bland. But could have been a lot worse, considering the ABV.
