Another killer IPA from the Northwest. dark amber with high creamy head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Taste is mildly bitter and somewhat astringent. Short finish with a pleasant soft lingering palate. Nice!

12 ounce bottle from State Line Liquors. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a thin frothy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of toffee, some mild toast and a bitter hop finish. The taste is toffee, treacle, almost chocolatey and a bitter citrus hop finish. Medium bodied, bitter hop finish, Solid beer.

355ml bottle: 16 days out of date when poured into one of my Franziskaner Weissbier glasses on 17 Aug 2013. Looked just like it’s German brothers: cloudy yellow with a huge snowy white head, large amounts of carbonation bubbles rising through the body replenishing the head. The aroma however was not like it’s brothers from Germany, this was just wheaty and grainy, no vanilla or banana esters to find at all. Refreshing enough, but lacks flavour and depth. Mild hints of citrus notes, but not a lot of anything really.

Nice aroma, but taste is a little flat. Normal hop sharpness, appearance is great with high fluffy head. Finish is short, with mild lingering bitterness. Good, but not great.

This brew is a slightly hazy amber-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma with some citrus and malt behind it. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle in PHX. Excellent hoppiness throughout with nice malt balance. Medium mouth with good carbonation. Very enjoyable.

Flaske utenfor Gml.Strand Øllager, delt med Einar: "The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged" påstår de frekt på etiketten. Det er bare kjekke markedsføringsgutter som greier å komme lengre fra sannheten, dette er virkelig tynenne saker. Lite aroma kombinert med beskjeden smak og totalt fravær av ettersmak. Truly a waste of time and money.

12oz bottle consumed a month and a half after the enjoy by date. Oops. Opaque brown-black body, thin off-white head laces the glass a little. Not much of an aroma, sweet brown malt, some earthy hops. Kind of comes across more as a India Brown Ale on the darker side, not really comparable to most Black IPAs. Sort of like a decently hopped, oily porter. Malty, sandy brown malt tones. OK, maybe.

Nitro pour at Lost Dog Dunn Loring. Poured a hazy orange with a creamy, long lasting, white head. Flavor is light citrus, malts. Alright.
