Taster from Bomber at the Hanshin Seed Event. Belgian pale ale, crackery malts, slight tart/sour and almost a perfumery floral quality to it - interesting. The taste is a bit rough giving me mostly graininess, then a fruity tang and some breadiness. For me a miss.

Sample at the Hanshin Seed Event. A clear amber pour, fantastic hop aroma herbal & fruity with solid caramel malt backbone. Very bitter, green hoppy goodness, dry finish plus some sweetness from the malts. Good.

Light amber color. Big juniper berry nose, caramel, very sweet malty nose with a touch of ginger. Very sweet malty mouth, tons of juniper berries. Smooth mouth, boozy, gin and ginger, very big mouth. The gin really works well with this beer. Excellent. Very out of the box beer that is executed very nice.

Tap at Q-Brick. Dark amber-orange. Butterscotch, toffee in the nose. Heavy and sweet, with stone fruits, butterscotch. Not what I want in a W-IPA. Too sweet and syrupy.

Draught at Thrash Zone. Yeasty nose, chocolate, minerals. Almost black. Sweet and spicy, fruity chocolate, somewhat strange yeastiness, brown sugar. OK, but doesn’t really work. Another American quad that just seems to far from the real thing.

Contract brewed at Sound Brewery for Devil Craft/Evergreen Imports. A light copper with a beige head. It is bitter pine and floral in the nose. The mouthfeel is more slick than silky. The taste is a bit buttery & too sweet, kind of cloying. Overall, OK.
