This beer pours a hazy dark golden-orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of yeast, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of fruit, herbal hops and yeast. The finish is fruity with an earthy yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draught at Kamikaze. Bright, glowing gold-orange with lace. Big grassy hops in the nose, citrus, light bread, sweet orange. Tasty. Lightly sweet at first but a dry finish, grassy, citrus zest, some pineapple, peaches; nice balance. Light but persistent Belgian fizzyness. Great stuff.

Draught at Kamikaze. Deep nose, chocolate, berries, raisin; rich, fruity, and malty. A good orthodox dubbel nose. Orange-brown with lace. Rich malty flavor, not too sweet. Great chocolate fudge and dried fruits. Light, soft carbonation. Very nice.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating but was purchased recently. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge mango, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, passion fruit, caramel, floral, and light herbal. Fantastic aromas with huge tropical fruit notes; it is unlike any other DIPA I have had in the past. Big hop sweetness; but it is so inviting even without the pine resin I am so used to having in an IPA. Taste of big orange, pineapple, mango, caramel, pine, grapefruit, passion fruit, tangerine, orange rind, floral, honey, and herbal spiciness. Nice amount of spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tropical fruits, citrus, citrus rind, pine, caramel, floral, herbal, and grass on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic hop complexity and malt balance; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy, slick, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA. Huge hop complexity and balance; very smooth and easy to sip on. This was truly unique as a DIPA, and highly enjoyable.

On tap at The Copper Hog, pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma of biscuit malts, some woodiness and restrained piney hops. Flavour reveals notes of oranges, some slight tropical fruit presence and medium resinous hops. Fairly restrained hop presence for the style with a solid chewy malt backbone. Solid albeit unspectacular IIPA.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This beer is a hazy straw-orange color with a thin white head and spotty lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of earthy yeast, bananas and malt. The finish is short and sweet with a yeast and spice aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pitch black color. med brown head. Licorice , tobacco, charcoal, dark chocolate, moderately dry. Moderately hoppy. Lingering charcoal and dark chocolate bitter finish. Good depth, but balance could have been a bit better. Still a great beer overall.

Golden color. Frothy white head. Piney, pale malt. OK balance, not a lot of depth. Decent simple IPA, but nothing more.

Very drinkable, very well balanced, big caramel malt backbone, but piney hops dominate from start to finish. Nothing too complex, just a well executed high enjoyable brew.
