66cl Bottle brought from the US, thanks H&T! Clear deep amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of spruce, pine, malts, caramel. Flavour is pine and spruce, rather bitter, medium sweet malty, caramel, hint of grain, rather bitter spruce and pine in the finish. Medium bodied. Decent DIPA.

Adding because system says I hadn't rated it (did back in 2012). Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours very dark brown with a dark tan head. Strong, fairly dark chocolate aroma. Full bodied. The flavor is quite chocolate, there’s some yeast/spice contributions, and there’s a very slight touch of heat. Underneath is a slightly ashy dark toasted malt. There is indeed a Belgian aspect that’s ever in the middle of every taste. Per label 10% ABV and 68 IBUs. The finish is fairly dry, and it is bitterish. But it doesn’t fit my concepts of bitter very well. Always good to try something different. Excellent drink.

Pours a deep orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of floral hops, fruit and malt. Medium body with a resiny hops character and notes of grapefruit and sweet malt. The finish is hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. Pours inky black with a medium light brown head that dissipates slowly to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt and chocolate in the nose along with a trace of hops. Medium to full body with a roasty character and notes of coffee and chocolate malt. The finish is malty with a mocha aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours clear light copper with a good creamy off-white head. Aroma is floral and fruity. A little nose burn - spice? Med body +. Flavor is peppery/spicy. Heat is not an issue, but the drink is warming. Flavor turns up something suggesting tropical fruit. Finish is quite hoppy in a non-citrus non-pine way. Not at all harsh. Quite smooth in fact. And always fruity. Quite nice.

Bottle thanks to Ben! Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a good amount of sweet tropical fruit with a backing citrus hop with a hint of thick resin and sweet grain. Flavor begins light with tropical fruits and citrus but becomes a bit heavier with some resin and a syrupy sweet grain note.
