Tap. Hazy butterscotch, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is light, hints of wheat and fruit, can’t really get pine apple. Flavor is light sweet, some pineapple here, but very muted, more like an almost citric sweetness, wheat notes present, with some clove and bubblegum that suggests that this is still brewed with a hefe yeast, but filtered. Medium body. Oddly pleasant.

Thanks ShoulderBroken for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing medium filtration, light honey amber and sparse white foam. The nose shows a lot of chewing gum and very slight hints of banana. Alot of sweet malts also. The palate is full bodied with moderate carbonation and the same flavors as shown on the nose. Pretty standard hefeweizen.

32oz crowler from Whole Foods in Chandler pours with a deep dark amber body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up molasses, prunes, red apple and molasses covered raisins. At the end of the draw it gets a bit peppery and boozy. The taste delivers sweet molasses drizzled prunes and figs and raisins and then moving into brighter raisin and boozy notes. Pretty nice sipper.

16oz glass: on tap at The Stadium Brewing brewpub, California on 18th may 2015. More deep ruby red than black in my eyes, but certainly dark: on top a tanned foam blanket. Malts rule the nose and taste with mild chocolate notes leading the way in both the aroma and flavours. Not at all thin or weak it just did not seem robust or alcoholic enough for me: decent but lacking that extra touch to make it unforgettable.

16oz can pours with a nice dark body that supports a thin mocha colored head. The aroma offers up chocolate, malt balls, a bit of dark roasted malts, dark fruity esters and black licorice. The taste is similar as it delivers up chocolate, black licorice, some plum to fig sweet dark fruity esters and then dark roasted malts. The spicy black licorice like note seems a little forward. Still pretty nice kind of old school impy.

Can. Orange malt and pine aroma. Hazy amber with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderately bitter metallic pine flavor. Okay - kind of bland.
