(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a medium fluffy white head. Hoppy aroma with a touch of citrus and some grainy malts. Bitter flavour, medium body. Herbal hops accentuated taste with a dry and bitter finish. Nice and “echt krachtig” !

(Bottle 30 cl) Fully golden, small creamy head. Flowery nose which turns almost perfumy in the beer’s flavours - without ever being cloying. This unusual pilsener is also very dry with a rather pronounced bitterness. Is this spiced with coriander and orange peel??? Well, thats the suspicion one could get. Excellent but very unusual for a pils. 140505

Bottle. Sweet flowery aroma - reminded me of sweet sage or elderflower. Medium yellow color. Sweet sage flavor - no noted hops. A very unique pilsener - not really like any other pilsener.

Huge white head, leaving lace; darker golden, clear beer. Initially vanilla and lemongrass, but very fast gone, leaving preciously little aroma. Rather grassy, herbal tasting pilsener. Malt is there, bit (white) winey character, finishing undistinctive bitterish. Rather good body, bit flour-in-suspension feel, slick. More than decent Pilsener - but no way a Budvar yet.

Golden; initial high carbonation to terribly even, yellowish head, evenly collapsing. Creamy, nearly lactic nose. I seem to detect some low-level diacetyl; a lttle malt. High levels of hopbitterness in the head, and still a good dose in the beer. I think there’s some diacetyl, but at the treshold of detection level. Retronasal some metallic bitterness, and a fruitlike flavour - bitter pineapple? Light bodied, not thin. I’m surprising myself, but I rather follow the Heineken corporate newspeak, rather than the PINT-reflex. I do not estimate this beer is dumbed down - I rather like it, and I always thought the Brand ’Up overrated.

Very pale gold, heavy carbonation feeding just slightly yellow-tinted good head, lacey. Grassy hops, grain but also a bit fuel-gassy nose. Fine bitterish pilsener, hoppy, but predominantly aroma rather than bitter hops. Malt present, but remains unobtrusive. Alas, no new bitterish taste, just fades out. Sparkling water texture, but not watery, some powdery MF as well. PINT was in turmoil about the recent profile changes of Brand’ brands (no pun intended). They’re right, of course, but this still remains amongst the better Dutch pilseners.

An orange beer with a small white disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and grain. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and an OK bitter end. It leaves a sticky feeling in the mouth.

A yellow beer with a small collapsing white head. The aroma is slightly sour, malty, and with hints of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, and a dry end. Very common.

Light blond color. Very nice hoppy aroma, almost fruity. Average body, still with a quite good hopping.
