Tap at Komachi, March 2016: 6/3/6/3/13=3.1. Grassy, lemon nose, dry crackery malt, some caramel. Sweet flavor, caramel, some diacetyl, oranges, grass. Very bitter, even a bit harsh. Not one of their best. Tap at Yellow ape. Slightly faint Cascade hops, lemon. Sweeter than the lager, honey, biscuits, lemon. A somewhat coffee-like, burnt bitterness. Lager is much nice, but ok.

Tap at Gremlin. Light orange and pine notes on the nose with some malt. Taste is grainy and malt-forward. Some light pine and grapefruit on the palate. Harsh bitter finish. Very simplistic pale ale without much Cascade flavor even though itโs a single hop beer. Iโm guessing the Cascade hops grown in Kamifu just werenโt that great to begin with. --- Beer merged from original tick of KAMIFU 100 Pale Ale on 05 Mar 2016 at 22:51 - Score: 5

Tap at Beer Bar North Island. Light grass and woodsy aromas on the nose with some bready malt. Some light citrus and pine come out as it warms. Slight bitter finish but not as bitter as the name would have you believe. Decent enough though. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Bitter on 23 Mar 2016 at 21:52

Bottle from Tokyu Foodshow across from Sapporo Station. Pours a hazy gold with a 2 finger head of foam. Banana, clove nose with a hint of earthiness. Body is light with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Similar taste to the nose. Finishes sweet and little heavy, but still somewhat refreshing. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ebetsu Komugi Beer on 30 Mar 2015 at 15:24 - Score: 6

Bottle from Tokyu Foodshow across from Sapporo station. Pours a glowing neon yellow with a thick 2-finger head that lasts througout. Banana cream pie nose with strong clove and allspice. Rich and creamy on the palate. Finishes with a hint of tartness. Better than their standard weizen. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hokkaido Komugi Ji-Biru Weizen on 04 Jan 2016 at 15:40 - Score: 7

Other places online (Untappd) seem to be listing this as an aqula beer but they also have a Summer Session Ale. This was listed as a North Island x Aqula collaboration at Bungalowโs 3rd Anniversary Event. It poured a light matte gold with a thin soapy head. The aroma was a minty orange and grape fruity hoppiness with some malt sweetness. Medium bodied & fairly smooth this beer was easy to drink & a satisfying session beer. The taste is chewey breadiness & fruits - good.
