Glass on tap at Beer Bar North Island. Served in a shaker half pint. Slightly hazy golden yellow with a nice shiny white head. Hints of grass, lemon zest, pine and jasmine floral notes on the nose. Medium body and thin on the palate with a nice dry finish. Solid session IPA that doesnβt get boring. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hop Tea Sorachi Ace Ver. on 30 Mar 2015 at 15:19 - Score: 7

light Amber color. Tons of Citra hops. Malty body, a fair amount of citra in mouth, but I got bottom of keg. I can imagine it would be great if I had a fresh version.

On tap at Yellow Ape. Hop Tea from North Island is a 4.4% sorachi ace single hop session IPA that pours a slight opaque gold with a foamy white head. The hop bouquet is musty pine & lemon, pretty interesting. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation the taste is indeed somewhat tea like with floral notes, lemoney nutmeg & funky cheese. Quite an odd flavor combination but not really unpleasant. Decent, that bitterness really creeps up on you.

Tap at Dig. Finally got around to trying this. Nice cinnamon cnady nose. PRetty, glowing orange-amber color. flavor is cinnamon, sweet but not overly so, some heat like a candy hot ball, rich malts. Full, almost heavy body with a nice spritz and tang. Well balanced.

Lovely Amber color. Sweet malty nose with a touch of caramel. The mouth is very malty smooth, tons of bready and caramel notes. Not too sweet. Nice stuff. Not up to top German examples, but still a solid solid example of the style.

Deep red color. Nice nose of dried strawberries and caramel. A lot of body which makes me thinking is much stronger. Tons of hops. Excellent backbone. Lots of caramel and dried strawberries. Smooth as hell. Really nice beer.

5.5% on tap at Bungalow. It pours a dark cola black with ruby highlights and a light beige creamy looking head. A malty sweet aroma with roast coffee bean notes. Med-full bodied with a spritzy carbonation. The taste is flavorful roasted savory dark chocolate with a bit of bitterness. Easy drinking but quite satisfying. A solid stout.
