Tap at Cafe de Tete as Masaji The First. Clear, golden. Light berries in the aroma. Almost something a bit sweet. Quite interesting. Taste is good, dry and crisp, grassy hops, bit of fruitiness, biscuity malt finish. Very easy drinking. Some creaminess a bit later on.

Tap at the North Island Bar. Nice. Soft and very easy drinking, light fruit, Aroma is citrusy, pineapple. Good stuff. Was getting smashed by this stage.

Tap at Cafe De Tete. Japanese beer rating 1000! Not blonde! Aroma is nice, berries, raspberry, bit of cherry, blueberry. Taste is great, fruity, light funk and sourness, leather, creaminess, but spritzy. Really nice. Finish is cherry drops

Bottle from Sapporo station. Aroma is strong and spicy, clove, quite sweet too and a bit poopy. Something sharp. Taste is better, nice creamy wheatiness, spice is dialed down a little. Not quite sure though.

Tap at Gar Eden as Cinnamon Ale. Amber colour. Caramel and cinnamon smell, light roastiness. Taste is good, toffee and cinnamon, less full on than expected. Quite subtle. Definite latte type flavour or maybe royal milk tea. Pretty good. Surprised how much I liked it.

Tap at iBrew. Dark amber colour, gold head. Aroma is NZ hops, tropical fruit. Taste is lightly bitter, but sweet and boozy too. Full bodied. Different but not so sure I really want another.

Tap at Facuets. Light clear, bubbly white head. Aroma is spam and salami! Smoke. Taste is similarly strange. Meat elements, quite fizzy, some lemony, sherbert initially, but soon swamped by meat and smoke. Minerals. Great stuff though. Never tasted anything like this. Bit of tonic water about the palate. Tingly. Really weird. Like it.
