On tap at Flying Saucer Beerfeast. Pours a cloudy amber with a medium frothy off white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is caramel malt and raisin. Thick mouthfeel with a sweet malt and caramel flavor with nice lingering dry finish. A good English strong ale from 512.

Opaque black beer, good sized tan head. Light palate, semi dry. Mild carbonation. Sweet dry wood and emulsion paint. A little vanilla and mild whisky. Creamy finish. Nice beer but I could do with less of the barrel induced paint flavour and more pecan!

Draft. Pours with a clear bronze hued body with a retentive white head. Aromas are very floral, spicy, tea, peach esters, bready, grainy, malty. Low hop. Flavors are malty, a bit spicy, floral, bitter, earthy hops. Lightly spicy hop with peach esters and marmalade. Fuller bodied, medium carbonation.

Cask at Petrol Station. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that quickt diminishes to nothing. The aroma is a strong coconut and dark chocolate. Medium mouthfeel with a rich chocolate malt and light roast with the coconut coming out in the finish. Easy to drink a good one off of the pecan porter.

16oz on tap at Falling Rock. Pours a translucent mahogany amber with zero head. Aromas of sawdust, wood chips, grass, collard greens, onion patch, pencil eraser. Tart flavor, grass, herbs, tarragon, medicinal, treated wood. Medium bodied, tart finish. Pretty nice but the wood character is very non-traditional. More of an American take on a wild ale.

Tap. Pours clear deep reddish amber, quite pretty, with a small beige head that leaves great lacing. Aroma is faint, with notes of caramel, toffee, and grain. Flavor is caramel, orange peel, toffee, toast, a bit of fruit. Medium sweet and very light bitterness.

Cask at Flying Saucer 12th Annivesary. Pours a very dark brown with no head. The aroma is light roast and vanilla oak. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet chocolate and vanilla oak flavor with nice smooth finish. Hides alcohol very well, really enjoyed this one. A very impressive variation of the cream stout.

Sample at the Draught House brewpub. Brownish-amber pour with a medium thin light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Light to medium body with flavors of bready malt, caramel and earthy hops. The finish is short and malty. Decent Altbier overall.
