bottle from a small Getränkemarkt in Weißig. Clear deep brown colour (not black), mid-sized beige head. Aroma of cocoa powder, walnuts and caramel. The malty background is not sweet, rather dry with hints of cocoa powder, shy hints of caramel and walnut. Shy hop flavours tune in towards the finish.

bottle from Konsum in der Markthalle Dresden-Neustadt. Clear pale yellow colour, large white head. Hoppy nose. Shy, but nice malty basedw ith hints of honey, accompanied by slightly herbal hop flavours and a touch of wood.

Bottle 500ml. @ Fastelavnssmagning, Ulfborg.Clear light medium yellow / orange amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, brown sugar, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100220]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear deep golden with a white head. Sweet malty nose with a little pumpernickel. Solid body with a massive maltiness and a little caramel. No real bitterness but a warming alcohol. 200210

The bottle looks good, also the cap. The beer in the glass light orange, nice head. Starts strong and spicy, not as sweet as other helle bocks. Grasy and woody notes, not alcoholic. Finish still spicy, very drinkable. Good bock!

The bottle looks good, also the cap. The beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts fine hoppy, modest dry, fine flowery. Finish more malty and a little bit spicy. Very well balanced. I liked it!
