Bottle (german beer # 4000!!!): Pale golden with a greenish sheen, mid-sized fluffy white head; aromatic herbal to grassy hops in the nose, accompanied by a good sweet pale-malty base and a (oxidized) buttery tinge; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied and very soft; clean sweet pale-malt and noble hops in the lingering finish, followed by a drier "woody" aftertaste. Not a Helles at all, but a perfectly crafted Bohemian Pils.......

Bottle: Golden, hazy, small fluffy off-white head, mainly lemony-wheaty nose, slight traces of bananas and cloves underneath; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, almost medium bodied and very soft; a light tartness shows up in the typical, fresh lemony-wheaty finish. Chapeau! A very good Weizen from the GDR.....
