Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains and Belgian candied sugar supported by dates and raisins. Flavor is similar with sweet grains and Belgian candied sugar up front with a growing presence of dates, raisin and a bit of plum.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 Asheville - Late Nite session. Cheers! Pours clearish brown with a frothy, beige head. Tangy chocolate aroma. Medium sweet flavor, earthy, with light bitter cocoa notes. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more chocolate, burnt leaves, toasted bread. Just OK overall.

Tap at OSS. Nitro pour. Clean and easy, not unlike a Boddingtons or similar UK draught. Steady foamy off-white head. Smooth, cream golden malt. A little watery, not much depth. Hyper-sessionable light body. OK. Sublime. Simple. Brewhouse bland aroma. OK.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black color. Moderate light tan head. Roasted malt nose has a big coffee-like character and smoky touch. Flavor is more roasted malt and coffee. Notes of smoke and cocoa as well. Medium bodied and creamy in midtaste. Finish is dry and roasty with some bitter resiny hops.

Very dry, lots of spice and heat. moderately well roasted, the cocoa nibs smooth it out a little but there is a lot of heat. Good flavor, but simple and I cannot distinguish all of the different peppers.

Draft at HopCat Madison. Pours crystal clear gold with Guinness style foam that slowly settles - mesmerizing. Aroma of light vanilla, straw. Taste is peppery, moderately bitter, silky smooth creamy mouthfeel. Very nice.
