Description
Lionel gave birth to Alphand beer from his double passion for the mountains and for beer. Located in Vallouise, in the heart of the Hautes Alpes, in a high mountain setting at the foot of the Massif de Ecrins, the Alphand Brewery benefits from water of optimal quality and purity. It offers everyone the opportunity to share quality, authentic and healthy beer.

Everyone who works today to create this original, unmistakably tasting beer brewed with native spring water wants to perpetuate the pioneering spirit of the early mountaineers. Thus the Alphand Brewery, keen to minimize the impact of its production on the magnificent sites of the Alps, uses as a priority recyclable or biodegradable materials.

Swing top bottle(750ml). -bought all 4 Alphand beers in a local souvenir and liquor store in Risoul, Hautes Alpes, France. Costs ridiculous high 5.50€ per bottle.
Reddish/amber coloured, small quick-disappearing white head. The aroma is light malty and yeasty with strong caramel notes and something very aromatic. Bitter finish.

Dark brown coloured, creamy beige head, cheese mouldy nose. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee with not so pleasant odd (alpine) herbal notes. Maybe notes of anise. Short metallic finish.

(Bottle 75 cl) Slightly hazy amber with a creamy, off-white head leaving some laces. Malty, lightly caramelish nose. Rather light body with a heavy carbonation. Vague notes of caramel malt and some lightly fruity accents. Weak, hoppy finisk. Thanks to Bierkönig. 290106

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy amber with a small, white head. Vaguely floral nose. Rather light-bodied with a heavy carbonation. Notes of malt and overripe fruit - not really what you’d expect from a Blonde. Absolutely no hops. Thanks to Bierkönig 290106

A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet dusty (from the hops) combined with notes of minerals. The flavor is sweet hoppy with a dry end, and with a thin body.

A hazy amber beer with a white whipped cream head. The aroma contains notes of metal and malt, but the flavor is more clean just with notes of malt and caramel. The body is thin.
