Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear deep golden with a dissipating white head. Tart apple aroma. Medium body, first sugary apple notes and then a very astringent tannin finish. 290111

Bottle from Oakchurch Farm Shop, Staunton on Wye, Herefordshire, consumed 13-11-09 Pours warm gold edging ever so slightly towards orange. Its sparkling, clear and with an aroma that leans more towards dessert than traditional cider apples. Nice woody bite, crisp, possible touch of that mouse taint encountered with ciders or is that just me imagining it and unable to identify something else, not sure? Its ok. A5 A4 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Handpump@The Cross Keys (Sarah’s Cider Dry Draught, 6.1%, so probably this). Hazy orangeish colour, not much head. Aroma is apples, cheese, wood and some slight notes of vanilla. Flavour is the same along with some nectary/tropical fruity notes. Very dry palate. Cheese and apples in the aftertaste.

From cask at Bon Accord. Pours hazy yellow with a fully gone head. Apple acidic and slight phenolic aroma even from the distance. Mild sweet initially yet with a distinct dry phenolic flavour following on the back of the tongue. A bit sharp in the far finish. Yet smooth and medium to dry is the main impression with a light sweet and fruity note initially.

Cloudy, orange colour. Aroma of phenoles and earthy smells. Flavour is medium sour, with apples and wood. Alcohol well noticable. Heavy and mature cider, but nice to have had this one.
