Bottled. Hazy golden, firm fluffy head. Distinct citric nose where barnyard is very evident. Soft, lively and juicy with concentrated flavours. Acidic and ultra-complex, yet frefreshingly drinkable. A super premium gueuze.

I asked for this at the 3 Fonteinen restaurant and was told, that it was sold out, but fortunately for me Armand Debelder was on site, so he retrieved it for me somewhere - thanks.

A hazy orange beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of yeast and malt. The flavor is very sweet and again with strong notes of both yeast and malt, leading to a dry end that also has some light notes of grass. A solid Belgian Strong Ale.

I had this just as Mads and Jeppe at the 3 Fonteinen restaurant with a dish of rabbit in gueuze - just 2 months later.

The beer is hazy orange-brown with an orange head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel and candy sugar, but also slight notes of acidity and wood. The flavor is lovely sweet with a trace of acidity in the background as well as notes of oranges. The mouthfeel is quite flat. This is really a kids drink - very sweet.

Test vom 23.4.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,8,12,13,8,12

Bottle (donated by Yogi_Beera!): Orangey coloured, creamy off-white layer, a bit lacing; robust fruity nose: oranges, lemons, orange-peel with a touch of wheat malt and yeast; only light sweetish, mainly dry fruity flavour with an illusion of acidity, creamy mouthfeel; fruity, citrousy finish with a shy tart bitterness; well rounded with well hidden alcohol......A very pleasant Wheat-beer...........or Ale ?

Bottled Bruges de’ Beetje 03-11-05 Thought I would dip my toes into the world of acid beers in an environment that is a shrine to beer. Slight sparkle, hazy orangey colour, aroma of citrus and apples, incredible tangy bite that takes some getting used to, very different and most unusual. Will have to try more of these! Had this again 31-12-07 at home Even better than I recall lovely soft lemony notes and also in the taste, wonderful sourness and quite tart though not as harsh as I recalled (getting used to them now) 4.0

An unclear light yellow beer with a huge white lazing head. The aroma is very hoppy combined with quite a lot of citrus and coriander. The flavor has notes of coriander, yeast, and hops, while the body is thin. This is a clone of a pilsener and a wit - if I blindly should guess at the style it would be wit - but it is definately more hoppy than the standard wit. Thanks MadsBerg for sharing.
