My 1000th beer! 375ml of the 2004 vintage. Hazy deep amber colour with moderate carbonation and a big, but short-lived off-white head. Strong aroma of yeast, the barnyard, bitter orange and sherry. The flavour had a citrus edge, with more yeast and orange peel. The finish had plenty of acidity, yet a touch of smoothness, and left a long aftertaste. Excellent.

Hellomynameis was good to share this rare beer. Bright red color, very impressive appearance on this beer. The intense aroma has wild yeast and a barnyard character with sour fruit that includes raspberry. Interestingly, this seems to be thick on the palate for a lambic. Excellent flavors, with fruit, fructose, and considerable sour flavor and more yeast. This is something special.

Bottle picked up at the Hop Duvel, Gent, early December 07. Shared this in Belgian Beer Tasting evening with Loz, Casey and Traciβ 04-01-08 Poured a fabulous reddy/pink colour really quite vibrant even in the poor light of our living room, topped of with a nice pink head of foam. Aroma was fanatabulously funky and quite cherrytastic. Stunning sour cherry taste that just ripped through, the cherries just utterly dominated the proceedings streaky, sour, tart, on occasions reminding one of that rosey apple boiled sweet sharpness you recall as a kid on the other sharp cherry drops, quite lovely indeed, "look down thereβs cherry town" great beer.

Bottled. Hazy pink color, short frothy head. Aroma is extremely fruity of raspberry, slight tart, some barnyard. Taste is again very fruity with only some sourness. Very thick. Very nicely balanced.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Hazy golden with a small, white head. Sharp, vinegary nose. Medium body with sourish Brett accents and soft balsamico. Rather low in carbonation. Distinct yet still rather harmonious gueuze. 191207

750 ml bottle, purchased at Lukas, KCMO, enjoyed at my Holiday Mini Tasting. Pour is reddish brown, with a 1/2 inch tan head that fades immediately. Aroma of pure funk, nice woody sourness. Taste of the sourness, and big cherry / raspberry fruitiness. The wood is present as well, though it is nicely blended with the fruit. Finish is very dry. Really nice beer, much more sour than expected though I loved that.
