Handpull cask at the Star, Beeston. Mid-to dark brown with indigo notes, translucent, with a foamy off-white head. Light caramel and chocolate aroma. The taste is perfectly balanced: sweet and malty, with some pronounced foraged-berry hop notes closing in on the finish. Some liquorice and plum in the finish. Smooth texture. It's always fun to try a good mild.
