On tap @ Equinox. Black pour with a thin brown head. Aroma has some roast, hint of coffee, dark chocolate. Medium full body. Medium light sweetness and bitterness. The flavor is great and chuggable. Dark chocolate, hint of vocals, enough roast, hint of smoke. Everything is not overdone and held in check. Finishes smoothly with some light bitterness. Tasty. Best beer I’ve ever had at Equinox. I’d get this again.

On tap @ Equinox. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Heavy clove, banana, apple, nutmeg, caramel aroma. Medium full body. Somewhat boozy. Heavy phenols and esters. Chocolate, caramel, strong banana, apple flavor. Fairly spicy. Finishes a little strong. The Belgian yeast is a little aggressive with the fruit notes.

On tap @ Equinox. Hazy reddish orange appearance with a foamy, light brown head. A lot of pine, weed, light citrus, toast and some caramel in the aroma. Pretty high bitterness. Moderate low sweetness. A touch chewy. Caramel, grass, bitter piney hops in the mouth. Finishes with slightly harsh bitterness.

On tap @ Equinox. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a tan head. The aroma has some roast, burnt sugar, earth, caramel, and maybe a hint of nuts. Medium body. A bit acidic. Moderate to moderate high bitterness. Moderate low sweetness. Chocolate, ash, light smoke, caramel, bitter grassy hoppy flavor. The bitterness on the finish is a little harsh. A little bit of citrus but the hops come off more as grassy Avs herbal. Pretty easy to drink but the finish does have a bite. I’m always excited to try CSU’s collaboration beers and this one ain’t fucking bad.

On tap @ Equinox. Pours a clear dark orange appearance with a thin, off white head. Heavy clove, banana in the aroma with lesser notes of gum, vanilla, and candy. Dull carbonation. Pepper and clove in the forefront of the flavor. A little too sweet. Slightly watery. Not awful but the carbonation is weak and the phenols and esters are a little too aggressive for my taste buds.

On tap @ Equinox. Pours a clear reddish brown appearance with a nice sized brown head. Caramel, orange/nectarines, light spice, cinnamon, and a bit of nuts are offered in the aroma. Medium body. A little nutty and sweet in the flavor. Moderate bitterness which was a little stronger than I expected and on the herbal side. Light citrus. Hint of bubblegum. Some acidity. This isn’t offensive but it also seems to be oddly crafted for a Biere de Garde. Ok.
