Good clear lighter gold body and minimal foam, lots of vanilla and apple on the nose, like roundish tannins pushing through. Flavour is bitter apple, some semi-sweet elements coming through in the aftertaste. Lots of skin and tannins but still the bitterness is prominent without much of a payoff in terms of complexity. Mouthfeel is very dry as advertised, but I'd prefer some kind of sweetness to balance it out.

Good foam on a stormy light clear gold body, deep sweet pear aroma but a little sugary and not too complex. Flavour is pear and white wine notes, balanced sugar. Full mouthfeel, good level of carbonation. Not too bad but a little simple and the alcohol could be better hidden.

Nice clear gold body, strong carbonation, not bad foam though it doesn't linger. The aroma is rich apple with hay and twig notes, soft vanilla. Flavour is very boozy apple, rich, but bitter alcohol lingers. No real sweetness and I find the aftertaste cloying. It gets better as it warms up and the alcohol numbs your palate but still ends up not necessarily dry as much as kind of astringent. There are certainly some good things going on here but perhaps the abv should be dialled back to make them more noticeable. 2017 edition, 12.5% abv.

Has a goldish colour, but there's a hint of pink to it. No head. The aroma has this sort of sweetish apple note, with a bit of rhubarb. It says "semi-dry" on the bottle, but it's pretty sweet. Bland apple, and the rhubarb lends it the acidity that it should have received from the apples. Kind of odd and mainstreamy.

375ml bottle at Alex's. Pours a clear pale golden with no head. Aroma is lovely apples. Similar taste with moderate sweetness. Nice one.

This is a semi-dry pear cider, where the pear sweetness is more up front, then it fades into a tarter, balanced finish. Not bad.

The snow cider suffers from a butteriness that is really hard to put back in the bottle. It has a tart finish and some light apples, but I’ll never get past diacetyl in a cider.

375ml hottle at Matt’s. Pours clear golden with no head. Aroma is fermented caramel apple, similar to parfumes. Taste is the same. Quite pleasant, not bad.
