Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Very dark brown beer with disappearing head Quite oily with liquorice throughout. Quite nice juicy dark malts. Slightly oily but I quite like it.

Cask handpull Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Deep brown colour with lasting tight beige head. Some good deep malts. Some coffee and choc. Quite grainy, but a bit more rounded than a stout. Finish has more roasted burnt malt. Quite like it. Very drinkable. Some faint fruit

[Cask at GBBF 2004] An amber beer with a small white head. The aroma is very weak, what is there is flowery. The flavor is of caramel and grass, leading to a nice bitter end.

Sampled cask conditioned at Nynäshamn Real Ale Festival, Sweden.
Very dark brown. Aroma of coffee and lingonberries. Mild and soft with creamy mouthfeel. Rather sweet with a funny similarity to café au lait. Licorice and whipped cream shines through ina finish with medium bitterness. tasty and unusual.
