Draft @ Harvest Pub, Bologna.

Draft @ Green River, Bologna.

Draft @ Green River, Bologna.

Bottle from Lortica, Bologna
Hazy golden color with medium sized head. Aroma of plastic, yeast, grass, hay, some malt and very light spices. The body is lean and the mouthfeel quite dry in the front; moderate malt flavor, with accents of honey hay and paper, and light traces of spicy yeast; light residual sweetness in the middle, and light astringency in the end; ordinary bitterness.
Boring, it can’t stand up against many other good examples.

Bottle at the Beer, Bocce and Boozer Tasting, London. This bottle gushed and shamed me. Pretty explosive. It was in good shape flavor-wise, though. Pours black-brown with a creamy tan head. Light roast in the nose, some grass, earth and cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with dark chocolate, light soap and rubbing alcohol, subtle roast. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Warm, semi-sweet finish with some heavy booze, dark cocoa and moderate roast. Decent beer overall. Could do with some fine tuning, but it’s decent as is.

Bottle (gusher!), thanks to Leighton at his Beer, Bocce and Boozer tasting. It pours opaque dark brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is smoke, roasted malt, hint of vinegar/tangy fruit, caramel and spice. The taste is roasted malt, milk chocolate, liquorice, meat and caramel, with a dry finish. Medium body and very lively carbonation. Decent enough.
