500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orange golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, white head. Rather weak, mildly smoky, minimally fruity, herbal and spicy aroma, a touch of raspberry, smoked wood, spicy bread, whiffs of peat and leather. Taste is mildly smoky, sweet-ish fruity, minimally bready malty, minimally herbal and spicy, initial hints of smoked wood, peat and leather become replaced by sweet-ish hints of raspberry in the second third, beetroot undertones, additionally some salt and black pepper, whiffs of marjoram in the last third; sweet-ish fruity and mildly spicy finish, mild smokiness throughout. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Very nice, mild and balanced, almost a bit cautious, definitely not overpowered composition. Rather oily, hence a tad clumsy; could be better off with a tad more fresh fruitiness or citrus support for the raspberry - enjoyable.

Keg at Syznkarnia, Wroclaw, 20/07/22. Pitch black with a decent tan head. Nose is dark malts, charr, pine needle, cocoa scattering, bitter tropical fruits. Taste comprises earthy roast, pine needle, charr, raisins, dried fruit rinds, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a bitter roasty edge spattered with earthy hop bitterness. Solid CDA.
