Description
In 1905, Thomas Fentiman, an iron puddler from Cleckheaton, England was approached by a fellow tradesman for a loan. A deal was struck and a recipe for botanically brewed ginger beer was provided as security. The loan was never repaid so Thomas became the owner of the unique recipe.

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT ADD FENTIMAN'S GINGER BEERS HERE. THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED ON BREWVER.

275ml bottle from Dobbies Garden Centre - Clear amber body, solid foamy white head. The nose is clearly lemonade, little bit of malty beer. Taste sweet, as expected - it is just pop though.

Bottle: Clear, pale gold with a small white head. Ginger, lemon-lime, barley aroma. Taste is definitely "Sprite"-like.....but there is a good bit of "beerness" in there as well.... Pretty pleasant for what it is.

Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Lukter villa farris, fruktig lett sitron. Søt smak, uten serlig bitterhet. Smaker også Villa farris. Kort. God dagen derpå!

275ml bottle at National Glass Museum, Sunderland. Pale gold amber colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head, aroma of lemon and ginger. Taste is sugary, light malt, biscuit, lemon and ginger, spice. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, lingering sweetish gingery spice at the finish. OK.

Bottle. Lemon-lime and barley wort aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet lemon-lime soda flavor with a hint of beer. Tastes good but not dramatically different from a Sprite.

Bottle. Pours pale yellow (almost golden) with a small and fast dissapearing white head. Sweet aroma with notes of pear and powdersugar. Taste is sweet like a Swedish cider at first. Aftertaste is malty and a bit spicy with notes of citrus and ginger. Quite thin (of course) and also a bit too carbonated. Overall: light, refreshing and nice! My first shandy, but hopefully not the last one. resin,

275ml bottle poured into a shaker. Ohhh, and it’s a twist-off! Pours a slightly hazy gold with minimal head. Very faint aroma. Some pine-sol and metal. Taste is super sweet. Lemonade mixed with sprite. Light bodied with a sticky texture. No carbonation and a long sweet finish. Overall, I kinda like the taste. If it had some alcohol in it I would be down with it. I could definitely use this as a mixer with some vodka though.
