Poured from 750mL bottle (vintage 2022). Black with small tan head. Dry, a bit oaky, some feint bourbon, mild candi sugar, dark fruits, and chocolate malt. Decent.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is full of oak, with lots of caramel malt, brown sugar, and bready malt. Flavour is dry and oaky, with intense oak, dry caramel malt, and bready malt. Definitely not one of the trendier takes on the style, which I appreciate. Dry, oaky and nicely malty. Nice stuff.

Can shared at the Columbus tasting 22/06/2023. Thanks to LKS. A dark black brown coloured pour with a halo of dark tan head. Aroma is soy, dark black malts, boozy dried fruits, chestnut, oily. Flavour is thick, oily, dark black malts, soy, liquorice, treacle. Palate is oily, no condition, aged.

Can 47,3 cl. Pours clear golden with a solid and lacing, white head. Biscuity nose with a piney touch. Medium body, a dry fruitiness and a very soft mouthfeel. Solid finishing bitterness. Traditional West Coast. 150623

0.473 l can from 'De Bierliefhebber', fresh before April 2023, so a little overdue. Slightly hazy, greenish yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, quite fruity-floral, gently grassy aroma of lemon peel, gooseberry, pineapple and some fresh grass. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather fruity-floral and quite grassy taste of lemon peel, gooseberry, pineapple, grains and some fresh grass, followed by a short, gently bitter, moderately dry finish. Medium body, very smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Lovely Pils, very aromatic, nicely smooth as well. Good, and definitely not past its prime.

On tap at The Church, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma has a nice grassy, pot-like hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and bitter, with piney hops, grass, straw, and some unfermented wort. Bright, bitter and crisp. Nothing remarkable in terms of hop expression, but it's competently brewed. Solid enough.
