Bottle: Straw golden coloured, white, medium-sized head, just a little bit lacing; fresh, mild hoppy aromatic nose; soft bitter flavour above a mild malty body; finish begins sweet, malty, becomes aromatic and hoppy in the aftertaste. Very well done, soft, almost Bohemian Pilsener !

On tap at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Chestnut colour with lasting off white head. Smokey bacon aroma. Good in mouth, quite smooth. Bit spicey, but a lovely smokey flavour. Good finish and a refreshing change from all of those bitters, bitters, bitters..... 4/5 On tap at Hummel it’s so easy drinking. Smoke is there but light. The dry bitter smoke finish excites me no end. For me the perfect rauch.

An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma contains lots of caramel, but also notes of straw and yeast - as if it has been warm fermented. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of caramel, and with a dry end with primary notes of straw.

[Draft at GBBF 2005] A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet and very smoked with notes of rope. The flavor is also sweet and quite smoked - reminds me of smoked heering and rope. Nice one.
