Bottle. (7.1% ABV) There’s some microfloaties in this copper-colored, slightly hazy beer with a beige head. Sweetish, fruity and citrusy nose. Really nice, but a bit anonymous. Sweet and bitter flavor, quite malty-sweet with resin and a nice bitterness. Full-bodied. Long, bitter and resiny finish. A quite nice IPA, but it left me wondering if my score was too high. (080509)

Bottle. Looking really good in the glass, with a black body under a nice tan head. Sweetish, roasted, dusty and fruity on the nose, in a strange way. Not sure what causes it, but strange it is. The flavor has some sweetness and a chemical note, along with coffee and burnt flavor. Long, burnt finish. Full-bodied and quite dry. The beer is far from world class, but it’s sure drinkable. Bottle. It pours a hazy, orange-copper body with a quite small beige head leaving nice lacings. When sniffing the brew, I start to wonder if it’s infected, with it’s aromas of citrusy sourness, old wet hay, rotting fruit and chalk. There’s also caramel and fruityness, which seems to be what other people have found. It wasn’t really bad, but certainly nothing I would be proud of. The flavor was much better, but still not what it was intended to be I think, with a slightly sourish, chalky and dusty flavor to follow the sweetness and fruityness that dominated. The beer finished in the same way. Medium body. Hopefully this beer was better out of the brewery before Easter, than it was one and a half month later. (080509)

Bottle. It poured an unclear, reddish brown body with a small, beige head. Fruity-sourish nose at first, but the sourness disappeared very quickly, leaving only fruityness, as well as caramel, mocha and roasted malt. There was a little sourness in the flavor too, followed by caramel, fruit, roasted malt and a chalky note. The beer finished in the same way. Medium body. The sourness shouldn’t have been there in my opinion, but else it’s a quite nice beer. (080509)

Bottle. A clear brown beer with a beige head. Toffee, butter, some roasted malt and coffee in the aroma. Sweet flavor, with a faint coffee note, some roasted flavors, butterscotch, toffee and bitterness. Feels a bit thin in the mouth, and finishing sweet with coffee and a decent bitterness. The beer is too buttery I think, but it’s sure drinkable. I prefer other Kvajj beers though. (080509)
