Bottle mail order from the brewery. Very dark brown with orange tints, and a high, bubbly head. Chocolaty nose, with roasted malts, wood, mocha, cream. A bit too faint. Nice creamy flavor, cocoa, fudge, café au lait, good roast. Body a bit too light. Pretty darn tasty, though. Sweetness up front but not overdone.

Bottle at RBJG 2 Grand Tasting, thanks TimE. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Chocolate aroma. Mild chocolate, toffee flavour.

Bottle at RBJG 2 Grand Tasting, thanks TimE. Brown cola colour with a small head. Sweet aroma of dark fruit, caramel. Sweet caramel flavour with some hints of alcohol.

Bottle at the RBJG 2 Grand Tasting, thanks TimE. Dark brown colour with an off-white head. Chocolate, smoke, wood aroma. Smokey burned flavour with some chocolate. Well rounded and not extremely smokey.

Bottled. Big chocolate fudge nose, raisins, dried fig, chewy as hell. Cloudy dark brown to black with lace. Sweet, fruity flavor with a light tang, chocolate, cocoa, grape. Sugary fruit. Doesn’t taste as good as it smells.
