Description
Trouble Brewing was founded in 2010 by three friends: Paul, Tom and Stephen. They gathered up all the money they could (about €45k between them) and borrowed the same from the bank with the help of a well prepared business plan. Then they set about putting together a functioning brewery.
Our sales grew steadily, the brewery got bigger and around 2014 it became clear that if we were going to take the brewery to the next level, we needed a bigger space and the assistance of an experienced brewer (In the meantime Tom left the project). Not long after we found a new premise in Kill, approx ten times the size of our original space. Mark Nixon joined us after a couple of years working and training in Redchurch Brewery in London.
In 2019, after ten years of hard work together setting up and building the brewery, Paul and Stephen decided it was time for a change. Paul moved on and a new era began in Trouble Brewing.

On tap at The Brew Dock, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Nose brings out perfumey notes and floral hops. Flavour seems quite infected, with buttery notes and maybe some DMS. Also some vinegar. Clearly something wrong here. Drain pour.

Draught at Brewdock. Clear gold with a medium head. Aroma is dusty hop. Flavour is subdued hop at the start, grows into a fruity bitter finish, dry and refreshing. Nice

On tap at The Black Sheep, pours a clear golden with a small beige head. Nose is potent, with loads of hop oils, phenols, and more hop oils. Flavour is intense as fuck, with loads of resinous hop oils - wow. Not abrasive at all, just an intense blast of hop oils. Beautiful stuff.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Tom L. Dark brown with a biege head. Lovely aroma of chocolate and cookies, and a bit of coffee. Sweetish flavor with chocolate, some roast, a bit of cookie, and a dry bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Good.

Cask at Brewdock. Marmalade orange with a thin head. Aroma is a big bag of tropical fruit. Flavour is big, very BIG. Intense bitter marmalade, chalky background, texture is heavy, could spread this on toast. Long fruity bitter finish. Generally I am not a hop head but this is good.
