In 2014, Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman founded Other Half Brewing Company, a local brewery in New York City with a simple mission: to create beers that they wanted to drink from a company that they wanted to be a part of. Their vision was to build a passionate team that brewed great beers in the state of New York—done so with effort and thoughtfulness—to represent the “Other Half” of the industry. Today, Other Half craft beers in their Brooklyn brewery and are dedicated to collaborating with breweries both in New York as well as across the world in an effort to constantly move the industry forward while elevating the craft. The Other Half team believes that local breweries play an important role in their communities which is why they partner with these other likeminded brewers and brands in local nabes across the country and the world—but always return to their home state of New York and their Brooklyn taproom.

PLEASE NOTE: As of 2023, Other Half no longer markets beers as "Double Dry Hopped". Instead, the DDH version is now listed as just the beer name, and the non-DDH version has been retired.

When entering a beer, please enter "Hop Showers" instead of "DDH Hop Showers" or "Hop Showers - DDH".

Alewife, queens tap: pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma is weird cheesy funk... Quite stinky in an enticing way. Light fruitiness. Kind of sour. Very funky. Nice light aftertaste. Tasty and interesting.

Draft at Craft Beer Co. Clapham during Route CBC - London. Pours clear brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose holds moderate ripe berries, light yeast, brown bread. Light sweet flavor with tangy fruits, bread, light funk. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Modest sweetness in the finish, a decent lick of funk, more bread, leathery fruits. Tasty stuff.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is pretzel and dark chocolate. Taste is nicely bitter. Nice dark chocolate vobes in there. Great finish. Very tasty. Wonderful bitter aftertaste. Dank.

Tap. Craft Beer Co, Clapham. 2nd October. Hazy, yellow gold. Film and a few bubbles of white. Pithy citrus rind. Bready malts. A bit grassy. The missus thought this was a saison affair. Taste is robust, pithy, zesty bitter. Some dryness. Mineral tang. Crisp, fresh palate. Finishes zesty, funky, and crisp.

Can. Hazy light gold/straw body with a frothy white head. Juicy aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, peach, grapefruit, light pine, resin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. The finish is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Lots going on in the flavor alternating among tropical fruits, resin, peach, pine, floral hops. Some caramel backbone. And every once is awhile a light hint of ammonia. Good stuff. Thanks Kevin.

Can. Hazy golden body. Off-white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, grapefruit, lemon, pine, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Resin bitterness shows up in the finish. Taste of citrus, light caramel, pine. Taste comprises orange pith, straw, pale malts, bready notes, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent hoppy sessioner ... A Kolsch though ?
