Half-litre on tap in Offside, a pub in Wedding, Berlin on 24th Jan 2016. Hazy look to the chestnut brown bodied brew, on top a beige coloured topping. Nose is all about malty molasses and what your nose picks up: caramel, toffee, sugar, biscuits, whatever. Taste is calmer than to nose, still a semi-sweet offering though, the finish is a little bitter but otherwise this is a Dunkel with less flavour than I expected or remember having visited the brewpub on two occasions but never rated any beers!

Mar ’15. On tap at the brewpub. Poured a bit hazy and surprisingly a copper body with a smaller head. Pleasant hoppy and malty aroma, caramel and other toasted scents, including some harsher ones like latte. Flavor was lightly bitter, although mostly malty - coffee, caramel, nuts and dark dried fruits. Slightly too yeasty on a moment but quite nice whatsoever. Medium bodied with pleasantly long finish, where herbal hops got more intense. An easy going, light lager. Enjoyable.
