Eschenbräu Maibock, vom Faß im Biergarten der Brauerei im Wedding. - Dunkleres Goldgelb, schwach trüb. - In der Nase verhaltenes, schweres helles Malz, zart karamellig, milde Zitrusfrucht, zuviel Hefe. - Antrunk schwer aber verhalten hellmalzig mit frischer aber durch den breiten Malzkörper gebremster zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung. Runde Süße, Trockenaprikose, ein wenig Honig. Milder rezent, breit, gut kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang feine grasige Hopfenherbe. - Eigenwilliger aber nicht unübler heller Bock, bei dem satter Malzkörper und frische zitrusfruchtige Hopfung einander hemmen. (3.6.2021.)

Als Panke Gold, vom Faß im Biergarten des Eschenbräu (nach bürokratischer Einlaßprozedur). - Helles Goldbraun, hefetrüb. - In der Nase eleganter, weich zitrusfruchtiger Hopfen, milde Grapefruit, ein wenig Hefe. - Antrunk weich exotisch hopfig mit mild-süßer Zitrusfrucht, Marakuja, Litschi, kaum herb. Fülliger Körper mit runder Süße von Zitrus- und tropischer Frucht, etwas Honig. Mild rezent, hefeweich. Im Abgang feine grasige Hopfenherbe. - Sehr appetitlich gehopftes, zitronig-süßes aber nur wenig bitteres Bier. Die Kellnerin meinte zwar, dies sei das normale Panke Gold, aber der Hopfung nach war es wohl eher das 2.0. (3.6.2021.)
