Description
Eik & Tid (Oak & Time) is a farmhouse beer inspired brewery in Oslo, Norway dedicated to making sour and wild beer the nordic way.

Our entire brew setup is customized to fit the raw beer brewing process. By modifying surplus dairy tanks from Norwegian farms, we where able to get what we needed at an affordable cost. We also like the added bonus of upcycling derelict equipment instead of getting new made and shipped half across the globe.

Taste is slightly dry sour-ish floral, weeds, sorrel, minerals, grass, hay, mild vinegar, sour berries, old dusty potato cellar, paper, soda powder. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish floral mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

200ml draught at Crowbar & Bryggeri. Film-type layer, spotty lacing, hazy yellow-gold body. Moderate smell of forest, wood and a note of cat piss. Dry and tart taste of yeasty fruitiness, lime, wheat, and lemon. Prolonged tart and dry finish. Fine depth. Refreshing cleanser. (Oslo 04.09.2017).

At Gents Bierfestival, thanks Ster for sharing. Apparently a sour ale hopped with Sorachi Ace... Medium thick, egg-white head over a hazy straw blonde beer with slightly greenish tinge. Aroma of cucumber, withered dill, fish sauce, sourdough, lime slices; soft sourishness, softish carbo, wheaty and bready middle, lime- and gherkin-like sourishness throughout, dryish but softly so, lactic, herbal hop bitterish finish with floral and dill-like Sorachi Ace accents. Unusual but refreshing.

The aroma is sour, lemony, funky. The flavour is also sour and very dry. A bit of a watery body.

19/VIII/17 - 33cl bottle @ Gents Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2017-1270) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers and celebrating my 10K!

Clear pale yellowish beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, funky, sourish, bit floral, cucumber? MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of lemon juice, cucumbers, citrus, slightly sweetish, fruity touch. Aftertaste: lemony, sour, bit funky, hoppy touch, more citrus. Not sure if the wild yeast does real honour to the Sorachi Ace, but it's a very nice combo to say the least!
