12 oz. bottle from Total Wine - Naples, FL. Pours a pitch black color with a light tan head and very good retention. Spotty lacing. Sweet chocolate aroma. The flavor is dark roasted malts and milk chocolate. A good balance of sweet and roasty. Maybe a tad thin for a stout. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness. A good dessert beer that's not too sweet for repeated consumption. Well done.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine - Naples, FL. Pours a crystal clear dark mahogany color with a khaki head and very good retention. Decent lacing. Nutmeg and cloves aroma. As expected, it tastes like nutmeg and other spices mixed with a dark ale and caramel. It's hard to define the brown ale flavor because of the spices. If you mixed a pumpkin ale with a brown ale, this is what you get. An enjoyable change from the norm. Medium body and medium carbonation. Not bitter.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine - Naples, FL. Pours a crystal clear mahogany color with a small khaki head and fair retention. Almost no lacing. Malty aroma. Dark, sweet malt flavor with a hint of smoke in the finish. Super clean and really easy drinking. One dimensional, but good. Very chuggable. Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation too. Not bitter.
