(Draft at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 16 Aug 2025) Black colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, vinous nose with oak wood, tar, asphalt, caramel and coffee. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with notes of sweet espresso, cacao, tar, oak wood, vanilla, bourbon and a mild herbal bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, sweet. Rich, boozy and tasty. Hardly balanced, but a good slow sipping beer. Very nice.

From a 3$ can, this pours the color of cola, ruby red glistens thru this stuff. No head and no sign of carbonation. Slight smoky nose, barely perceivable, but its there. On the first taste, even without the smoke nose, this brew has a big smoked impact, no mistaken. A little bitter, like burnt wood. In the middle, the burnt feeling gets a little heavier. Surprising, unlike many smoked beers I've had, there is no sign of bacon here. I'm not much for smoked beers, and this one is getting on my nerves a little. Yes, it does have some decent carbonation, and I'm thankful for that. It kindah makes it a little more acceptable to the palate. Not bad overall, there is not real ill ale character in there. The smoke and burnt feeling in the end leaves a medium lasting bitter smokey sensation. Different and somewhat unique.
